Fastening device for a trim strip on motor vehicle bodies

The mounting device has retaining body which is tensible against side panels of gap. The retaining body has pivoted clamping lever (30) with a first, against side panel of gap tensible, lever arm (32) and a second lever arm (33). Clamping lever by insertion of retaining body in gap works together with panel area of gap such that clamping lever swivels in clamping position holding retaining body in gap.
