Roof bar for emergency vehicles

The bar (10) has a base plate for joining to a vehicle and a hood (14) that defines at least a section of a fitting space for functional components and attachment elements together with the base plate. The hood contacts the base plate and/or the functional components and/or the attachment elements, at least in some sections.
