In order to provide a tongue retrieval assisting device capable of suppressing force applied to a conveying device itself and an attaching portion of the conveying device, when an occupant contacts the conveying device, the conveying device is attached through an elastic mount. A rod (17) for conveying a tongue (5) to a tongue retrieval position is telescopically and extendably composed of several rod members (14, 15, 16). The rod member (14) having a maximum diameter is attached to an attaching bracket (26) of the rod side. The attaching bracket of the rod side (26) is elastically attached to an attaching bracket (27) of the motor vehicle seat side through rubber mounts (28, 29, 30, 31). Force applied to the rod (17) itself or an attaching portion of the rod (17) can be suppressed even when an occupant contacts the conveying device.
