Suspension system with longitudinal interconnection for a vehicle
DRIVE
May 10, 2006
A system of suspensions for a.vehicle (1) comprises an oscillating assembly (5a, 5b) for each wheel (3, 4) of the vehicle, and an interconnection device (8), which connects to one another the assemblies (5a, 5b) of the front wheel (3) and rear wheel (4) of one and the same side of the vehicle. The interconnection device (8) comprises at least one longitudinally extended rigid member (9), preferably rod-shaped, which is rendered fixed in one intermediate stretch thereof to a yielding component at least in part formed with an elastic material. The yielding component is in turn fixed to a respective support (10) connected to the body (2) of the vehicle (1) so that the yielding element enables controlled displacements of the rigid member (9) following upon deformation of the elastic material, for the purpose of transmitting a load resulting from the substantially vertical movement of one of the wheels (3, 4) of one side of the vehicle to the other wheel of the same side.
