Control valve for an injector

The control valve (1) for a motor vehicle internal combustion engine fuel injector has an actuator (3) producing a reciprocation and a valve member (5) controlling a high pressure passage (4) which connects between a high pressure inlet (7) and outlet (8) via the control valve. The valve controls a valve nozzle needle or hydraulic pressure limiter. The valve member selectively controls the high pressure inlet and outlet.
