The device has gas lift cylinders (14a, 14b) with rod parts (14a, 14b) mounted movable on lateral parts of a tailgate and a door leaf respectively, and placed in a housing of a lateral side of a body shell. The cylinders have longitudinal actuation axes (15a, 15b) moved relative to each other during movement of the tailgate and leaf, during opening and closing, in longitudinal planes with an angular arrangement relative to each other.
