Device for charging at least two batteries

An arrangement for charging at least two batteries, has a device for detecting the state of charge of the battery connected via a charging cable to the charging device, and in which an input of a switching device (16) is connected to the output of the charging device (10) which is connected via at least two outputs simultaneously connected via two charging cables (28, 30) to the batteries (12, 14). The input can be selectively connected to one of the two outputs and the input of the switching device (16) can be switched over on to the other output when the switching device (16) receives the signal of the detection device as a switchover signal.
