Fuel injector for an internal combustion engine and method for mounting such an injector

The injector has a piezoactuator arranged in a housing to actuate a fuel injecting valve. A contact component is arranged at an end of the housing for electrical connection of the injector. A pipeline arrangement is formed in a connecting unit (20) that is inserted axially between the component and the actuator. Spring contacts (26) are arranged at an end of the unit facing the actuator. The contacts (26) abut contacts of the actuators. The connecting unit is designed as plastic formed part. An independent claim is also included for a method for mounting a fuel injector for an internal combustion engine.
