The vehicle has a rear roof part (4) with a rear screen (6) and a front roof part (5) with a first linkage or main guide rod joined to the body and to the rear roof part, a second linkage or guide rod extending from the body to the front roof part. The linkages open in the manner of a parallelogram at the start of roof opening. At least a central region of the second linkage is outboard of a central region of the first linkage.
