The cylinder head has borings (1) for screws to join it to the crankcase, with the top (5) and a bottom (4), between which is a coolant channel (6). There are intermediate decks in the transverse plane is of the borings, which direct the upward flow of coolant sideways against the adjacent combustion chamber top (9).
