Method and apparatus for monitoring calibration of an in cylinder pressure data acquisition chain

The method involves inspecting occurrence of validation of a predetermined condition for triggering the calibration of a pressure data acquisition chain in a cylinder. An occurrence of a stationarity of an engine operating point around a preset operating point is inspected for activating a calibrating unit. Results of the calibrating unit are validated if the engine operating point is stationary during preset number of engine cycles. An independent claim is also included for a system for monitoring calibration of a pressure data acquisition chain in a cylinder of an internal combustion engine of a vehicle.
