Method for diagnosing and correcting the operational condition of a vehicle diesel engine

The process involves identifying operating conditions of a set of cylinders, a chain for acquisition of pressure in the cylinder and a chain for acquisition of crankshaft angle from a nominal operating condition. A predetermined set of dysfunctions and drifts is identified based on predetermined characteristics of a signal delivered by the former chain. The identified dysfunctions and drifts are corrected using a correction unit. An independent claim is also included for a system for diagnosis of diesel engine operating condition.
