The sliding window has a fixed window (1) and a movable window movably mounted in guide rails (8) that are joined to the fixed window, especially stuck. A water run-off part (9) is provided underneath the guide rail. The water run-off part is joined, especially stuck, to the fixed window. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle with a sliding window.
