Broad load transporting vehicle

The vehicle for the transporting of overhanging loads has the two side roof longitudinal member (5.1,5.2) extendable beyond the load surface (1) through separate roof running rails (50), whereby for load and unloading of overhanging loads the roof (3) extends out beyond the load surface. A portal element (4) is removed from its function conditioned support. At least one roof longitudinal member which has a running rail profile is broken between the separate running rail and corner pillar (8).
