Rollover-sensing system

The rollover sensing system for a vehicle has electronic control unit connected to sensors, and at least one irreversible and at least one reversible safety device. The control unit during the sensing of a rollover scenario from the sensor data between at least three stages distinguishes different degrees of severity of the rollover scenario so that in the case of lesser degree of severity at least one reversible safety device is activated and in the case of a higher degree of severity at least one irreversible safety device is activated.
