The rear flap (1) has a rear flap frame (3) joined to the vehicle structure with a rear flap element (23) mounted on it with an at least sectionally approximately upright rear flap section (24) adjacent to the lower loading edge. The rear flap element is held by at least one frame section (7,9,11,13,17) to be movable, preferably essentially vertically, and preferably to pivot about an axis essentially transverse to the vehicle's longitudinal direction.
