Gas turbine cooling system and method
DRIVE
January 11, 2006
The method for the cooling of a gas turbine (15) entails drawing in an air mixture (5) from the environment (7) and compressing it, filtering the compressed air mixture, and feeding the filtered air mixture to at least one component of a gas turbine. The compression takes place directly after its drawing in without prior filtering. An independent claim is included for a cooling system comprising a suction housing (3) for the drawing in of an air mixture from the environment, a compressor (9) connected to the housing to compress the air mixture, and at least one filter (11) connected to the compressor for the filtering of the compressed air mixture.
