The trailer coupling for motor vehicles has a ball arm with a coupling ball on one end. The ball arm bearing head (2) has stops (7,8a,8b), and corresponding counter stops (9,10) lie in its pivoting path. The counter stops in the operating position and in the neutral position of the ball arm limit the pivoting movement of the ball arm bearing head on the one hand, and on the other hand are simultaneously constructed for the axial meshing of the ball arm bearing head in the positive locking connection of form locking contours.
