Mechanical indexing, especially for an electrical switch

The device has a pusher (22) activated by an insert (50) against indexing ramps (12). A sub-plate (10) and a spool (20) carrying the respective ramps and pusher, are susceptible of relative displacement along two inclined directions. The geometry of a surface of the pusher directed towards the ramps is adapted to define a linear contact along an authorized displacement direction. An independent claim is also included for an electrical switch of a motor vehicle.
