Mounting device for a mobile navigation computer and navigation system

A mounting for a portable navigation computer (2) for a vehicle has a flexible support plate (10) which is moulded to fit onto the vehicle, e.g. onto the end of the dashboard and on which is fitted a support arm with a connecting plate (20) onto which can be clipped the computer. The power cord (8) is integral to the mounting plate with the cord outlet at one edge of the plate from where it can be fed into the dashboard or into a cable guide. The user is able to pre-programme the route on the computer before entering the vehicle.
