The trailer coupling for a two-wheeler has respective coupling components (1,15) on the two-wheeler and trailer sides, a bridge piece (6), and a quick release clamp (16) which is fitted as one of the pivots between the bridge piece and one of the coupling components and is removable to release the coupling. The quick release clamp can be installed as the second pivot on the coupling component on the trailer side, with the first pivot on the two-wheeler side being permanently fitted, or can be the first or second pivot. In either case, the other pivot will be a screw (9). The quick release clamp and screw are accommodated in hole of equal diameter.
