Trunk covering for a vehicle

The arrangement has a front plate and a back plate (20) mounted between two lateral walls (14a, 14b) of a motor vehicle. The back plate is removable and the front plate is longitudinally divided into two parts (22a, 22b). The plate (20) moves between a use position in which it is in the extension of the front plate and an arranged position in which it is retracted against the floor of the vehicle trunk.
