Method to control a fuel injection apparatus for an internal combustion engine

DRIVE October 26, 2005
Source
The method involves assigning an actuator to each cylinder of an internal combustion engine for injecting fuel into the cylinder. Time of pre-injection caused by the actuator is simultaneously programmed with main injection depending on number of revolutions. The time of the pre-injection is directly programmed before the main injection, if the number of revolutions falls below a number of revolutions of a preset threshold value. The injection of the fuel takes place in two temporal successive-programmed injection phases.
