Method for controlling a passenger restraint system in a vehicle
DRIVE
October 12, 2005
The method involves recording a vehicle environment by two sensors (10, 10`) and integrating the performance data of the sensors to segments. The performance data is assigned to potential collision objects. Tracks for the objects are determined to control a pre-crash behavior of a passenger retaining device. The segments are formed from measurements of overlapping measuring rays (M1-M4) in which the objects are determined.
