Coin stabilization device and coin receiving apparatus
DRIVE
October 5, 2005
The invention concerns a device for receiving coins comprising a coin path 7, a wall 8, and a hanging mass 1, the hanging mass 1 having a pivot 2 with an axis arranged substantially parallel to the wall. Gravity is used to bias the hanging mass 1 toward the wall 8, and thus a coin travelling along the coin path 7 is deflected into the desired stable path by the mass 1 without the need for external driving forces. The pivot 2 is clear of the coin path 7 and thus avoids the majority of dirt, leading to a more reliable operation.
