The rear view mirrors (4-7) are connected to each other mechanically and an adjustment device is provided so that the angle for these mirrors is altered in a synchronised and continuous manner, depending on the position of the drivers seat. The drivers seat can be moved in the vehicle cross-direction. Each rear view mirror is mounted on the side of the vehicle bodywork (12).
