Apparatus and method controlling metering of injected fuel in a diesel engine
DRIVE
September 14, 2005
The device has a temperature sensor placed in the flow of an exhaust gas in upstream of a turbine between the turbine and an exhaust manifold. The sensor measures temperature of the gas before the gas enters into the turbine. A controller (41) receives a temperature set point and a temperature value measured by the sensor in order to provide a corrected value of an injected fuel flow, to a diesel engine. An independent claim is also included for a method for regulating flow of fuel injected in a diesel engine.
