Method and device for assistance in vehicle driving

The method involves detecting overheating imminence of an automatic clutch engaging mechanism of a vehicle, during spinning phase of the mechanism when the vehicle is stopped on a traffic lane in a rising slope. Transmission of a steering command e.g. text, visual or voice message, to a driver is activated in response to the detection, to stimulate the driver to stop activating an accelerator pedal and to activate a brake unit. An independent claim is also included for a device of implementing a method of assisting steering of a motor vehicle.
