Vehicle with a fog lamp and a drive assist system

The motor vehicle has a fog tail light and a driver assistance system with a light detecting and ranging or LIDAR sensor. A front fog lamp can be switched on by the LIDAR sensor and a delay circuit is provided. The fog tail lamp and/or the front fog lamp can be switched off by the LIDAR sensor. An independent claim is also included for a method of operating a fog light.
