Heating flange for preheating the intake air for an internal combustion engine

The heating flange which fits onto the suction air intake pipe has a heating strip (1) formed in windings set in a housing which is attached to the intake pipe. A support (3) which is insulated from the heating strip runs between two housing walls and through the windings of the heating strip. Spacers (2) of electrically insulating material are provided on the support and between the individual windings (1a).
