Trailer hitch

The coupling for connecting a trailer to a tractor comprises a U-section plate (10) with side walls (12) which is fastened to the tractor. A transverse plate (22) fits between the walls which carries a mounting (26) for the trailer tow hook (28). The height of the transverse plate can be adjusted.
