Device for stepwise height adjustment of vehicle seat belt direction reversal fitting on a hollow chassis component of a vehicle
DRIVE
August 3, 2005
The height adjustment device (1) has a guide rail (5) attached to a hollow body component of the automobile, e.g. a door column (4) and a sliding carriage (6), to which the seatbelt fixing loop (9) is secured, moved along the guide rail between defined setting positions. The guide rail is secured to the body component via 2 spaced fixings (18,19) and pivots sidewards in the longitudinal direction of the automobile about the upper fixing, for absorbing the impact energy, upon impact of the passenger's head with the guide rail.
