Bonnet-lifter with a locking system by means of a hook

The safety device (1) has a lifting mechanism (3) for lifting a bonnet (29), an actuator (16) fitted with a pyrotechnic gas generator, and a latching hook (4) for latching the lifting mechanism. The latching hook is mounted pivotally and attached to a motor vehicle. The actuator operates the hook to unlatch the lift mechanism.
