Current collector for fuel cell stacks

There are recesses in a frame area to define a structure of recesses that is in an inner area and does not relate to the recesses in the frame area. This produces a chamber plate element (2) underneath and a fluid channel structure that has a mechanical bridge between the frame and inner areas. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a stack element for bipolar stacks; (B) a method for producing a stack element for bipolar stacks; (C) a stack element for single-pole stacks; and (D) a method for producing a stack element for single pole stacks.
