Operating device for motor vehicle

The device has an actuating lever (6) with an end (6a) having a rotation axis (R) and another end (6b) mounted pivoting around a pivoting axis (P). The lever (6) moves between a rest position and an active position. A microswitch (4) located on a support plate (3) is activated after validation of a vehicle operation, when the lever is in the active position. The rotation and pivoting axes extend in different extension planes. An independent claim is also included for steering column for a vehicle comprising a control device.
