The vehicle has a seat (1) with a back rest arranged in a vertical use position. A base (20) is pivotably mounted with respect to the backrest around a pivoting axis, and has an actuating unit pivoting around the axis. The unit has a plate (41) pivoting and sliding relative to the back rest around an articulation axis of the back rest. An articulation axis of the base (20) is lower and closer to an opening of the back rest.
