Motor vehicle sub-assembly

The sub-assembly comprises a steering wheel body to which is fastened by a locking connection the modular sub-assembly of an airbag module. Locking elements are provided for the fastening of the airbag module sub-assembly on at least two spaced apart fastening points. The locking elements are installed and constructed in such a way that by releasing them on one fastening point the modular sub-assembly (2) is detachable from the steering wheel body without separately moving the locking elements on another fastening point.
