Vehicle with a ramp assembly for facilitating a disabled person to enter and exit the vehicle

A rectangular recess (15) is provided close to one of the doors of a bus or a tram suitable for the insertion of a rectangular housing (14) containing a folding ramp. Either the longitudinally positioned support bar (18) is first removed and inserted into its prior space in an appropriate lower position and fixed by welding or a new bar (18) is inserted as required. When a person in a wheelchair approaches the vehicle the ramp can be pulled out offering a slightly inclined platform for a safe entering of the bus or tram.
