Bumper system

The bumper system (10) has crash boxes (14) respectively arranged between cross beam elements (12) and a vehicle. Each crash box dissipates energy when the vehicle suffers impact on collision, and has a region that extends beyond a delimiting face of the cross beam element facing the vehicle.
