Valve disposition for an engine
DRIVE
May 18, 2005
The valve assembly (14) for the controlling of a fluid flow in or out of a cylinder (10) of an internal combustion engine has at least two inlet valves (14A,14B) for the entry of the fluid flow into the cylinder and/or at least exhaust valves for the exhaust of the fluid flow from the cylinder. The two inlet valves and two exhaust valves are connected in series in the flow direction of the fluid. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) an internal combustion engine with at least one cylinder with the proposed valve assembly; and (B) a method for the control of the fed and discharged fluid volume according to a phase shift between the valve stroke curves of the individual inlet valves or exhaust valves.
