Profiled frame for a vehicle door

The profiled frame (1) for the door structure of a motor vehicle's door has a hollow profile (2) formed by a wall and extending over the length of the profiled frame. The hollow profile especially in the region of a vertically extending edge of the door structure has a varying cross section over its length. The thickness of the wall of the hollow profile is constant over its length, and the wall of the hollow profile in any case in sections of the hollow profile with reduced cross section has a progression providing an additional wall length (3). Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a motor vehicle's door with the aforesaid profiled frame; (B) a tool for the widening of the cross section of a hollow profile of a profiled frame; and (C) a method for the manufacture of a profiled frame for the door structure of a motor vehicle's door.
