Process for cleaning compressed air in a compressed air supply unit in a vehicle comprises feeding the compressed air through activated charcoal and/or activated aluminum and depositing as an oil-mist. An independent claim is also included for an exchangeable cartridge (1) for cleaning compressed air in a compressed air supply unit in a vehicle. Preferred Features: The compressed air is initially passed through a fabric filter (15) and deposited as larger oil and carbon particles before the air is fed through a deposition chamber (21) containing treatment units.
