Semi-deformable rear suspension with longitudinal flexibility

The end has a steering knuckle (2) fixed to a swing arm (3) by a flexible link. The link is formed by two flexible plates (6, 7), each having a rigid edge fixed to the swing arm and another rigid edge fixed to the steering knuckle. The link allows rotation of the steering knuckle around a rotation axis (A2) that is distinct from axis of a wheel (1) and is situated below the ground.
