Connector for electrical conductors in a vehicle
DRIVE
April 27, 2005
A vehicle-mounted main cable tree (3) and a door-mounted door cable tree (4) are connected at a separation point located within a dry area of the door. The plug connectors (7,7') of both cable trees are assembled from modular components (19,19'), which can be detached from each other. Electrical round and/or flat cables (5,6) of the cable trees are in contact with each other at the separation point (2). The modules are joint via connection parts (23) on module bodies (20). The plug connector of the door cable tree is mounted via a fastening aid (22) on the dry side of the dry area. Part of the main cable tree facing the door is contained in a positioning aid, e.g. a flexible plastic pipe. At least one module carries an electronic part (21). Facing modules have corresponding electronic codes.
