The starter element of the drive unit of a vehicle designed as a friction clutch (26) combined with a dual mass flywheel (24) is positioned behind the flanged shaft (18) and connected to the crankshaft (20) by a catch element (32). The element (32) is made preferably of a steel sheet and is of a rectangular or triangular shape with a hat-shaped cross section (38, 40a, 42). The screws (36) used for joining are axially positioned, accommodated in collar segments located at the starter element (24), the catch element (32), respectively.
