Device for closing and releasing air openings (10) comprises at least one tape (4) with at least one opening (9) that is guided via shafts and/or wound on shafts. Each tape is provided with a drive shaft (3). A number of drive shafts are coupled together via one or more gear connections and are simultaneously actuated. An independent claim is also included for an air-conditioning system for a motor vehicle comprising the above device. Preferred Features: The device is a tape cassette (1).
