Unit with fan and filter

The combined fan and filter unit (1) has an electric fan (3) and an air filter (4), the fan provided by a multi-compartment fan (15) providing individual air flows, each supplied via a respective air feed (24) to at least one filter element (19,20) of the air fliter, the air flows from the different filter elements combined downstream of the air filter.
