Pivotal towing device

The pivoting coupling for a trailer, especially for a lorry, comprises a coupling ball (3) on a neck (2) and rod (1) on a mount (4). The rod can be pivoted along a curve between rest and operating positions. The convex side (11) of the neck lies against the forward direction when in the rest position.
