Height adjuster for the upper safety belt anchorage of a vehicle
DRIVE
March 23, 2005
The height adjuster for the upper deflection fitting of motor vehicles' safety belts has a locking component (5) with a solid locking nose (11) rotatable around a pivot point (9), and an elastic locking nose (8) self-movably extends in front of the fixed locking nose and with inwards pivoting of the locking component first comes to stop on a recess (6) in the seat guide rail (1) to establish a desired locked position, however with the overcoming of a defined tension force the elastic locking nose flexes and allows a small advance of the locking component until the fixed locking nose engages with the guide rail.
