Driving assist system for a vehicle

The system includes a radar sensor (50,51,53,50) or laser sensor for determining the distance between the vehicle (1) and an obstacle beside the lane, the distance between at least two objects in front of the vehicle, or for determining the speed of an obstacle. A steering or braking correction value is determined, or a warning is output based on these distances. An independent claim is included for a vehicle having the driving assistance system.
